oBook - Account Deletion Request

1. Identify Your App

This page explains how users of oBook - AI Read Assistant can request deletion of their account and associated data.

2. How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your oBook account in one of the following ways:

Option 1 - In the app

1. Open the oBook app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm the request.

Option 2 - Email request

1. Send an email to privacy@obook.com.
2. Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
3. Include the email address associated with your account.

3. What Data Will Be Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

• User account information, including email and authentication data
• Uploaded documents, PDFs, text files, and imported images
• Generated audio files
• Reading history, highlights, notes, and bookmarks
• App preferences and related account settings stored on our servers

Data that may be retained

• Payment and subscription records may be retained when required for financial, tax, fraud-prevention, or legal compliance.
• Crash, diagnostics, or analytics information may be retained in aggregated or anonymized form where it can no longer identify you.

Retained information is kept only as necessary for these purposes.

4. Confirmation Timeline

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. In some cases, deletion may be completed sooner.
